Job descriptionSpecialty : Emergency Medicine Start Date : ASAP End Date : July 29, 2024 Shifts : Various shifts available, both days and nights Coverage Type : Scheduled Clinical Hours Only EMR System : Epic Patients Per Shift : Approximately 38 per 24 hours Bed Capacity : 12 Practice Setting : Outpatient Providing emergency medical care to patients presenting to the ED Performing usual ED procedures, including intubation, chest tube insertion, conscious sedation, laceration repair, central line placement, suturing, I&D, dental blocks, foreign body removal, reductions, cardioversion, and responding to codes Managing a variety of cases, including Stroke, STEMI, pediatrics, and adults Admitting patients to the hospital via our Hospitalist team and collaborating closely with them for patient care Responding to codes on the medical-surgical floor if needed MD or DO degree Board Certification in Emergency Medicine Active Arkansas medical license ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications No call required No rounding outside of the ED department Opportunity to work with medical residents starting July 2024 Open shifts available starting in May
