Job description

We are seeking a results-driven Dental Assistant Office Manager who is people-oriented, has a proven track record for exceeding expectations, and someone who has excellent communication skills and a strong desire to work on a team that is collaborative and provides feedback consistently.

As a Dental Assistant Office Manager , you will be responsible for administering the day-to-day activities of the business office, including patient and employee relations; management of marketing and communications efforts; scheduling patients for follow-up appointments; submitting dental claims to insurance; verifying patient insurance, and helping the Practice Manager to achieve overall results. This position will require occasional travel to sister offices in the South Denver Colorado metro area.

Our Dental Assistant Office Manager will report directly to the Regional Manager, and help to set the tone when the Practice Manager is not present and is the most critical resource to help us achieve our number one core value of putting our patients and our staff's experience first. The Dental Assistant Office Manager will be passionate about people and have a strong desire to grow into an Office Manager in the future.

Specific Duties

  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the dental office.
  • Travel to other locations in the Northern Colorado area on an as-needed basis.
  • Help with staff assignments and activities following office policies and applicable laws.
  • Assist in meeting compliance with OSHA, state, and federal regulations
  • Stay current with trends, legislation, and regulations in the dental profession
  • Manage and update office computer systems Patient Management
  • Oversee patient relations and handle patient complaints in the absence of the practice manager
  • Help explain office policy to patients
  • Help support staff as needed (i.e., appointment scheduling, collections, insurance, etc.)
  • Monitor patient relations with regular patient satisfaction surveys.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college is preferred
  • Ability to travel to other locations in the South Denver Colorado market as needed
  • Dental front office leadership experience preferred (1 or more years)
  • Working knowledge of computers for word processing, insurance claims to process, and records management. Denticon is a plus.
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Team player
  • Customer service or patient relations experience
