We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Analytics Engineer to join our Commercial Excellence team. This role will be instrumental in designing and implementing a modern data infrastructure using Microsoft Fabric, enabling advanced analytics and self-service capabilities for our shared service pricing and contracting organization and the business units we support. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between data engineering and analytics, ensuring data is accessible, reliable, and actionable. This position can be based in either Austin, TX or Alpharetta, GA
Key Responsibilities
Data Infrastructure Development
Design, build, and maintain scalable data lake / lakehouse architectures using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse.
Integrate data from multiple sources (ERP, CRM, pricing systems, etc.) into a unified, governed data model.
Implement data pipelines using Dataflows, Pipelines, and Notebooks in Microsoft Fabric.
Analytics Enablement
Support self-service analytics by enabling governed access to curated data assets across platforms.
Collaborate with pricing analysts and business stakeholders to translate business questions into data solutions.
Data Governance & Quality
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security through robust data validation and monitoring processes.
Partner with IT and data governance teams to align on data standards and best practices.
Innovation & Optimization
Proactively identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve data workflows.
Stay current with advancements in Microsoft Fabric and modern data stack technologies.
Document data architecture, pipeline configurations, and integration processes to ensure transparency, maintainability, and knowledge sharing across teams.
Create and maintain technical documentation for data lake / lakehouse setup, governance protocols, and analytics workflows.
Crosstrain peers to ensure adequate back-up coverage and job redundancy.
Create and demonstrate proof of concepts to assess feasibility, gain buy-in and drive adoption of new technology.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or BI development.
Proficiency with modern data stack tools; experience with Microsoft Fabric (including Data Factory, Lakehouses, and OneLake) is preferred, but equivalent experience with other platforms such as dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, or Databricks is also valuable.
Strong SQL skills and experience with Python, Spark, or DAX with performance optimization experience for data queries.
Sound knowledge of database management, SQL querying, data modeling, data warehousing, and business intelligence.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker, Tableau).
Demonstrated experience developing canvas and model driven Power Apps
Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft SSIS to create and deploy packages and deploy for ETL processes.
Demonstrated experience writing and troubleshooting T-SQL statements, creating stored procedures, views, and SQL functions.
Exposure to CI / CD practices and version control (e.g., Git) in data projects.

The base pay for this position is $85,300.00 – $170,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
