Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team on a full-time, 3-month contract basis. As a Labor & Delivery RN, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor and assess the progress of labor, including fetal heart rate and contractions

- Administer medications and pain management techniques as needed

- Assist with delivery and provide immediate care to newborns

- Educate and support expectant mothers and their families throughout the labor and delivery process

- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients

- Document all patient care accurately and timely

- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols

Requirements:

- Valid and current RN license in the state of practice

- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Labor & Delivery RN

- BLS and ACLS certifications

- Strong knowledge of labor and delivery procedures and techniques

- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-stress environment

- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts and weekends as needed
