POSITION SUMMARY :

Conway Medical Center is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic fellowship trained Medical Hematologist / Oncologist. The ideal candidate should possess an incredible desire to work with oncology and hematology patients through the stages of their disease process. They will work with an excellent team of physicians, APPs and staff who strive to provide the best outcomes for their patients. The Godwin Healing Center is affiliated with the Duke Cancer Network, which provides access to advanced clinical trials, the latest cancer research, and best practices. This relationship also provides continuous staff education and training, enhancing the overall quality of care for patients.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of cancer and blood disorders while providing exceptional care.
• Develop appropriate treatment plans, with measurable goals, that provide the highest level of care while conforming to patient preference.
• Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
• Maintain quality of life for patients by managing cancer-related pain and the symptoms and side effects of treatment.
• Refer patients to specialists and to relevant patient care resources as appropriate (alternative therapies, palliative care, etc.).
