Quality Engineer Senior
You will be the Quality Engineer for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) in Grand Prairie, Texas. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of manufactured, repaired, and procured products meet or exceed design and process requirements. As the Quality Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for providing quality engineering expertise to support the program's quality objectives, leveraging your experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, and procedures. You will play a critical role in analyzing and resolving process issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality products are delivered to customers. Your responsibilities will include :
Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes
Analyzing quality data on yields, rework, scrap, and non-conformance aging
Leading program parts review and corrective action meetings
Performing assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance
Evaluating design assurance activities and production process methodology
Interfacing with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality-related issues
Utilizing lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's level degree or higher in STEM and / or equivalent experience / combined education. Prior Mechanical or Electrical quality engineering experience developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products. Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test, inspection methods and work instructions. Hands on experience dealing with inspection of hardware and rework / repair of hardware. Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools. Experience in disposition of non-conforming products. Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications : Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Effective communication skills, written, oral, listening, technical writing. Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration. Demonstrated presentation skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Desired Skills :
Experience with use of manufacturing, inspection gages or measuring equipment. AS9100 interpretation, application experience, and compliance auditing. Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements. Experience working with Government customers and suppliers in a sustainment environment. Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement. Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques. Experience developing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products. ASQ Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt).
