Unit Information :

Number of Beds : 19 (CVICU / CVRU mix)

Patient Ratios : 1 : 2 or 1 : 1 (depending on acuity), 1 : 3 for downgraded patients

Staffing : 13 day shift RNs, 11 night shift RNs, nurse’s aide on all shifts

Monitors : GE

EHR : Cerner

Procedures : IABP, Impella, Hemodynamics, LVAD care, chest tube removal, pacer wire removal, intubation / extubation, frequent ambulation

Volume : 850 heart surgeries per year

Required Certifications :

BLS

ACLS

2 years CVICU / CVRU experience

Additional Notes :

High energy, friendly personality

Critical care training and experience with cardiac surgery care preferred
