Summary

We are seeking a Warehouse Specialist to join Baker Electric at our Escondido office. This non-union role is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, picking and fulfilling warehouse requests, and maintaining yard cleanliness and overall warehouse organization. Your work will ensure the warehouse provides timely, accurate support to our field projects.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for receiving trucks and unloading tools, equipment, and trash.
  • Responsible for proper storage and inventory accuracy of material and supplies stored at the warehouse.
  • Stock warehouse with tools and materials in proper locations.
  • Fulfill warehouse requests from the field Foreman and stage in the proper location.
  • Support the Shipping and Receiving team with checking in merchandise and applying request labels as requested.
  • Inspect all orders for damage and missing items.
  • Forward all incoming material delivery paperwork to your designated supervisor for processing.
  • Maintain secure, clean, and organized storage areas in the warehouse at all times.
  • Provide back-up driving when needed.
  • Provide support to various departments, including Tool Repair, Rentals, Fleet, and Facilities, as needed.
  • Assist in addressing various facility maintenance needs, including but not limited to general repair work, plumbing, HVAC systems, lighting, furniture assembly, and departmental relocations.
  • Assist in the delivery of materials, tools, or fleet vehicles as needed.
  • Conduct inventory assessments of obsolete or surplus items when required.
  • Maintain, clean, and organize the company's warehouse and storage yards to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and assist with repairs or the installation of new safety features as needed.

Experience, Education :

  • 2+ years of warehouse operations experience (picking / packing / staging / inventory)
  • Construction experience is a plus
  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent experience
  • Reliable and predictable attendance is required
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Position Requires :

  • Lifting, pushing, pulling over 25 pounds
  • Repetitive bending and stooping
