Job Title : Interim Director of Nursing (DON) Registered Nurse

Location : Fairland OK

Setting : Long-Term Care (LTC) / Skilled Nursing Facility

Schedule : Variable Days 8-hour shifts

Hours : 40 hours per week

Contract Type : Interim / Temporary Assignment

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing (DON) to provide leadership and oversight for a long-term care nursing department in Fairland OK. The DON will manage clinical operations ensure regulatory compliance support nursing staff and maintain high standards of resident care during the interim period.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily nursing operations within the LTC / SNF environment.

Provide leadership supervision and support to nursing and clinical staff.

Ensure compliance with federal state and facility policies and regulations.

Manage staffing scheduling and clinical workflows to ensure adequate coverage.

Assess resident care needs and maintain quality and safety standards.

Coordinate interdisciplinary care and communicate with families staff and leadership.

Assist in audits surveys corrective actions and process improvements.

Maintain documentation reporting and performance monitoring.

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (OK or compact).

Previous experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant DON in long-term care.

Strong knowledge of LTC regulatory requirements and clinical best practices.

Experience managing staff and overseeing clinical operations.

Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience serving in interim leadership positions.

Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems used in LTC.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to stabilize operations quickly.
