- Under New Jersey’s Chief Resilience Officer, the Blue Acres bureau mitigates flood hazards by planning, administering, and monitoring buyout projects throughout the state.
- Blue Acres complements its disaster recovery mission with a comprehensive, forward-looking approach to community that uses buyouts as one of many tools to enhance climate resilience.
Project Description :
The Climate Hazard Resilience intern is expected to work on various aspects of flood buyout administration as needed by the program, including as the following : gathering, organizing, and summarizing financial information of various types.Supporting financial reporting and controls within the purview of Blue Acres financial management.Contributing to process enhancements and the creation of standard operating procedures related to technical tasks, such as managing title, appraisal, and survey processes.The Climate Hazard Resilience intern may also be called upon to assist for other programs / projects in the Office of Climate Resilience or the Interagency Council on Climate Change Resilience.Specific to the Position :
Entry level GIS.Ability / desire to learn new systems and processes. Preferred Area of Study :
Seeking individuals enrolled at an accredited university / college studying General Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Geography, Earth / Atmospheric Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Sciences / studies, Biological Sciences, and Land Use / Environmental Planning.
