Job description

Manager, Business Planning

The Manager's primary responsibilities are the development of operating and financial plans and the reporting of actual results (versus plan). In addition, the position tracks, reports and analyzes financial and key operating metrics for the assigned business area as well as performs other special projects as needed. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Finance and works closely with business leadership.

Responsibilities include :

  • Development of the strategic and financial aspects of the annual budget / monthly forecast
  • Working collectively with business leaders to reflect operational and financial goals of the company
  • Creating presentations that clearly speak to the financials, strategy, and goals
  • Working closely with the accounting department to ensure accurate and consistent recording of revenue and expenses
  • Producing journal entries and ensuring entries are entered and posted on a timely manner
  • Updating and reviewing the P&L
  • Analyzing and explaining monthly variances
  • Preparing and presenting various monthly schedules to reflect financial results
  • Developing and reviewing ROIs
  • Assisting with commission statements
  • Developing solutions to deviations to align back with the original plan
  • Working with business leaders to identify saving opportunities and efficiencies
  • Ensuring operating departments are adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Identifying best practices to improve current workflow and create efficiencies and consistencies across the network
  • Assisting with special projects and ad-hoc analysis

Qualifications include :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area required.
  • Five+ years of finance experience
  • Knowledge of Hyperion Planning / Essbase and Oracle preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities at once and prioritize without jeopardizing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Well-organized and detail oriented.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented
  • Proficient knowledge, with proven experience of Microsoft Office applications
  • Media Advertising experience preferred

    Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate / range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $102,816.00 - $168,912.00 / year. The rate / range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
