Locum Cardiac Anesthesiologist – Galloway, NJ

Trauma Level : II

Coverage Dates : January 2026 – TBD

Reason for Coverage : Open position (seeking permanent provider)

Type : Locum or Locum-to-Perm

EMR : Cerner

Schedule :

Variable shifts based on surgical schedule and hospital needs

8-hour or 12-hour shifts starting at 7 : 00 AM

Weekday, night call, and weekend call coverage available (optional)

Weekend / on-call not required but available for additional coverage

Clinical Scope / Required Procedures :

General Surgical Cases (Adult)

IV Regional and Plexus Anesthesia

Open Heart & Thoracic (non-Open Heart) Cases

Complex Vascular Cases

Spinal and Regional Anesthesia

Local Infiltration & Ventilation Management

Line / Device Insertion Skills Required :

Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)

Pulmonary Artery (PA) Catheter

Arterial Line

Central Line

Supervision :

Required to supervise CRNAs

Credentialing :

Estimated timeframe : 45–60 days

Job Requirements

Requirements :

Board Certified in Anesthesiology – Required

Active New Jersey Medical License – Required (no time for licensing)

ACLS & BLS Certifications – Required

Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia – Preferred

Proficiency in Open Heart, Thoracic, and Complex Vascular cases – Required

Experience with TEE, PA Catheter, Arterial & Central Line insertion – Required

Experience supervising CRNAs – Required

Experience with Cerner EMR – Preferred
