Job description

LocumJobsOnline is working with AAS Locum Tenens to find a qualified Interventional Radiology MD in Saginaw, Michigan, 48601!

About The Position

We are seeking an

experienced Locums Interventional Radiology Physician to provide coverage in Saginaw,

MI, supporting both inpatient and outpatient services. This assignment includes

clinic duties, inpatient consults, outpatient clinic visits, and a variety of

interventional procedures. The ideal candidate will be board-certified and

skilled in performing a wide range of general interventional radiology

procedures while providing leadership and oversight to advanced practice

providers (APPs).

Schedule & Coverage

Details : Dates of Coverage :

December 25–30

Shift : 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00

PM (inpatient consults, outpatient clinic visits, scheduled procedures)

Call : 5 : 00 PM – 8 : 00

AM for 7 days, including Christmas Day or New Year’s Day

Patient Mix :

60% outpatient | 40% inpatient

Procedures per Day :

9–10 inpatient and outpatient cases

Key Responsibilities :

Perform general interventional radiology

procedures, including biopsies, kyphoplasty, port placements,

paracentesis, and thoracentesis.

Provide trauma and emergency call

coverage during assigned shifts.

Conduct inpatient consults and

outpatient clinic visits.

Ensure accurate and timely documentation

within the hospital and clinic EMR systems.

Maintain close coordination with

supervising physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Procedures Include :
  • Biopsies
  • Kyphoplasty
  • Port Placements
  • Paracentesis (Paras)
  • Thoracentesis (Thoras)
  • General invasive interventional

    radiology procedures

    Requirements :

    Subspecialty Certification by the American

    Board of Radiology (ABR) in Vascular and Interventional Radiology,

    or CAQ in Vascular and Interventional

    Radiology by the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology,

    or equivalent certification recognized by the

    ABR.

    ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association

    only)

    Minimum of 5 proctored cases required
