Education
- Required
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited program of nursing
- Associate's degree in nursing
- Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Master's degree in nursing
Experience : - Preferred
- Two (2) or more years of experience in nursing
Certification / Licensure :
Required
All Units :Registered Nurse (RN), with Authorization to Practice in the State of TexasBasic Life Support (BLS) certification required with ninety (90) days of start dateNeonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Certification required within six (6) months of start dateBreastfeeding Education :Texas 10 Step required within ninety (90) days of start dateBasic Breastfeeding Class required within one (1) year of start dateAdvanced Breastfeeding Class required within one (2) year of start dateLabor and Delivery (in addition to the above)Required within one (1) year of start dateAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) CertificationBasic Fetal MonitoringAdvanced Fetal MonitoringMother and Baby / Women's Health (in addition to the above)Required within one (1) year of start dateAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) CertificationNICU (in addition to the above)STABLE Certification required within one (1) year of start datePediatrics (in addition to the above)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within one (1) year of start datePreferred
