Software Analyst

Job Description

ASRC Federal Highland Technology seeks Software Analysts in Beltsville, MD.

Job Duties:

• Organize and conduct business requirements discovery working sessions with business stakeholders.
• Create and Present Business Requirements Definition (BRD) documentation.
• Monitor business owner expectations through their involvement and communication throughout life cycle of project.
• Prepare the Functional Specification Document FSD and Software Requirement Specifications SRS
• Conduct interviews with key stakeholders to analyze existing data and gather requirements.
• Conduct meeting with Development and Testing team for explaining functional requirements
• Use Star UML or MS Visio to create use case diagrams, sequence diagrams and activity diagrams
• Work on improvement of Claims Reimbursement User Interface for a better experience and incorporate changes as per HIPAA 4010 /5010 guidelines using the gap analysis.
• Create user stories in JIRA and ensured its completeness and maintained governance over priorities and changes.
• Work with QA team to design test plan and test cases for User Acceptance Testing (UAT), identify bugs during the test phase and report them.
• Ability to write SQL queries.
• Conduct Presentations periodically to the management and end users during various phases of Software Development Life Cycle SDLC.
• Organize customer meeting sessions to define application scope and perform Gap Analysis to come up with application boundaries.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems or related fields plus 4 years of experience.

Special Requirements: Requires 4 years of experience in each of the following:

• defining requirements for web applications and verifying an application has satisfied a given requirement and Object-Oriented design skills
• relational database concepts
• Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• documenting design requirements and other project-related technical documentation
• providing feasibility feedback and identification of errors and omissions in business requirements and collaborating with business analysts and business sponsors to resolve related issues

Requires 3 years of experience with the following:

• REST approach in software development
• Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum
