About The Position

Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience in the specialty, with 2-3 previous travel assignments preferred.

License : Valid license required.

Certifications : BLS required. CST preferred.

Must-Have :

• 2-3 years of experience in the specialty.
• 2-3 previous travel assignments.
• Ortho / Neuro experience preferred.

Description :

The position requires working in the Operating Room.

The unit has 14 suites.

On average, there are 28 cases per day with 5 add-ons, including same-day surgeries.

Techs may be required to scrub and assist in various surgical cases.

No open heart surgeries are performed.

Common types of cases include neuro spine, total joints, open fractures, general, and ENT procedures.

Techs are responsible for turning over rooms as there are no aides or housekeepers available.

The tech to RN ratio is 2 : 1, with techs circulating cases as needed.

The position includes weekend and weeknight on-call responsibilities.

Call response time is expected to be within 20 minutes.

Scrubs are provided for all staff.

The facility uses Epic Systems Corporation for charting.

The role does not require interpreting EKG strips; anesthesia handles ventilation interpretations.

Floor-specific orientation is required before assuming the role.

Cancellation policy allows for two shifts per 13-week assignment.
