Job description

Are you ready to join an emerging business within one of the worlds most innovative companies Amazon Shipping is launching a new fast-growing business aimed at transforming the shipping and logistics industryand were looking for a bold entrepreneurial Senior Business Development Manager to help lead the charge.

This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape a high-impact initiative from day one. As a core member of our team youll create and drive the Business Development strategy influencing how we grow scale and serve customers. Youll work hand-in-hand with Product Management and Tech to challenge industry norms design customer-obsessed solutions and redefine how logistics is sold and delivered.

Were looking for someone excited about launching a new program from the beginning of its life cycle with experience leading sales generation with both small and large customers. This is an opportunity to build something truly meaningful inside Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

Drive revenue adoption and market segment share for our product

Earn trust of customers and recommend product solutions that fit their business needs

Measure performance articulate root-cause analysis and make recommendations for improvement areas

Relay market needs and customer feedback to internal Amazon teams including Product Management and Technical

Create program goals and metrics track progress and manage through obstacles to achieve your objectives

Assess risks anticipate challenges and provide escalation management when necessary

Meet or exceed targets for customer and / or feature spend adoption

A day in the life

Youll engage with stakeholders internally and externally to Amazon to understand key customer pain npoints generate strategic and impactful solutions and drive adoption via active sales tactics of your product line.

  • 3 years of business development partnership management or sourcing new business experience
  • 3 years of working with Core Cloud Technology Services including but not limited to Compute Edge Hybrid Security and / or Networking experience
  • 3 years of working with Business Application Technologies including but not limited to End User Compute (EUC) Supply Chain Contact Center as a Service Consumer Data Applications Encrypted Communications and / or Communication Developer Services experience
  • 3 years of solving problems with technology in the Healthcare / Life Sciences Industry experience
  • 3 years of solving problems with technology in the Media & Entertainment Industry experience
  • 3 years of solving problems with technology in the Global Financial Services Industry experience
  • 3 years of solving problems with technology in the Telecommunications industry experience
  • 3 years of solving problems with technology in the Automotive & Manufacturing industries experience
  • 3 years of solving problems with technology in the Energy & Utilities industries experience
  • 3 years of Go-To-Market Business Development Sales or Consulting experience
  • 3 years of working with Advanced Compute technologies including but not limited to : Accelerated Compute High Performance Compute Visual / Spatial Compute and / or IoT. experience
  • 3 years of working with Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration technologies including but not limited to Mainframe Serverless Containers or Cloud Operations experience
  • 3 years of working with Data & AI related technologies including but not limited to AI / ML GenAI Analytics Database and / or Storage experience
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience in online advertising or high-tech products / services
  • Experience scaling a publisher monetization product or service

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83100 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $177800 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and / or other benefits.
