Location : East Longmeadow, MA

Salary Range : $65,000 - $75,000

Position Overview

Join our client's finance team as a staff accountant, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance department's operations and management. You will report directly to the assistant controller and contribute to the financial health of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns.
• Conduct monthly reconciliation of company's sales by state.
• Manage account reconciliations.
• Oversee daily service capitalization.
• Maintain business forecasts.
• Assist in month-end close activities, including journal entries.
• Maintain fixed assets records.
• Manage the company's credit card process.
• Support fiscal year-end close.
• Act as a backup for accounts payable.
• File year-end 1099's and manage W9's.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

At least 3-4 years of general accounting experience.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Effective time management abilities.

Self-motivated and proactive approach.

Problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Knowledge of power bi (nice to have, not required).

Job type & location : This is a contract to hire position based out of East longmeadow, MA.

Pay and benefits : The pay range for this position is $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 / yr. Will be provided by client once an offer is extended.

Workplace type : This is a fully onsite position in East longmeadow, MA.
