  • Facility : 10 main Operating Rooms\n
  • Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025 – End : 1 / 19 / 2026)\n
  • Shift : 10-hour days (6 : 45 AM – 5 : 15 PM), rotating call on weeknights and weekends\n
  • Employment Type : Travel Surgical Tech Job\n

    • \n\nQualifications – Operating Room Technician / First Assist\n \n

  • Minimum 1 year experience as an Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) or First Assist\n
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT) certification required\n
  • Licensed First Assist with Virginia Board of Medicine\n
  • Clinical proficiency in Ortho, Da Vinci robotic procedures, Neuro, and Ortho trauma\n
  • Ability to assist with advanced surgical procedures : craniotomy, spine fusion, liver resection, Whipple, and MAKO total joint\n

    • \n\nResponsibilities – OR Tech First Assist\n \n

  • Assist surgeons during operative procedures in a 1 : 1 patient ratio environment\n
  • Prepare and maintain operating room equipment and surgical supplies\n
  • Document procedures accurately using Meditech EMR system\n
  • Participate in rotating call coverage for weeknights and weekends\n
  • Collaborate with circulators, surgical techs, and the healthcare team\n
  • Maintain a safe, sterile environment and comply with hospital policies and clinical guidelines\n
