Category Space Manager

We are looking for a temporary category space manager with a passion for the beer industry. This position will work in a team environment with a focus on developing insights, identifying opportunities, and communicating recommendations to lead future industry growth to our internal partners and external retail customers. Searching for an individual who takes ownership of their work and always pushes themselves and others to reach higher and achieve more.

Responsibilities :

• Build strong relationships with retailers as a trusted category advisor across all areas of the beer business
• Develop impactful category analyses and consumer insights using a range of syndicated and non-syndicated data sources
• Synthesize learnings from various sources to create clear and impactful selling stories in a visually appealing manner using PowerPoint
• Effectively educate internal teammates and external customers on growth opportunities through clear and impactful communications
• Partner with the sales team to engage the external retailer buying team in defined territories with the goal of identifying opportunities to grow the beer category
• Use space planning software to effectively merchandise the beer department according to category and retailer strategy

60-70% of the role will be space planning, 40-30% is more analytics and reporting.

Job type & location : This is a contract position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and benefits : The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
