Position Summary

The Tax Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations. This role supports the preparation and review of tax filings, monitors legislative updates, coordinates tax audits, and drives process improvements across payroll, sales / use, and corporate tax functions. This position plays a key role in mitigating tax risks and supporting the organization's financial health and strategic goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

General Tax Compliance

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns (e.g., income, property, franchise, excise).
• Maintain tax calendars to ensure timely filing and avoid penalties.
• Monitor and interpret changes in tax law to assess business impact.
• Maintain organized documentation to support filings and audits.

Payroll Tax Compliance
