POSITION SUMMARY :

Responsible for providing nutritional care to patients by spending quality patient time assisting in menu selection when necessary, providing patient meal delivery and patient set-up with direct patient contact, receiving and processing phone orders as required, and identifying patients who have not ordered meals with the assistance of the tray tracking system.

Hours : 40 Hours Per Week, Day Shift. Weekend Work Required

Location : St. Petersburg, FL

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :

• Acts as liaison between Nursing and Food Service to facilitate communication and assist in patient safety
• Reviews report for patients advanced from NPO / Clear / Full diets to ensure patient is receiving proper food selections
• Visits all newly admitted patients on advanced diets to educate them on the food ordering process
• Documents, resolves or refers any complaints / concerns the patient and / or family members may have in order to facilitate service recovery
• Fills in as needed in diet office and kitchen to assist with patient volumes
• Works with managers / supervisors in Process Improvement projects to continually improve the patient experience

QUALIFICATIONS :

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• 2 years of related work experience, including knowledge of basic food service operations, patient feeding / special diets and computer / phone skills.
• Basic understanding of patient service software (Health Touch, CBORD, Comp nutrition or equivalent)

Salary Range : Minimum 15.23 / hour - Maximum 24.36 / hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
