Position Summary :
Ensure delivery of excellent customer service through efficient and accurate processing of orders, good verbal communication, and coordination with other staff and departments to resolve customer requests, inquiries, and / or complaints. Provide competent support to Customer Service Manager by assisting with delegation of tasks and assumption of additional responsibilities as necessary to maintain continuity and consistency of service. Supports the Sales and Marketing teams at tradeshows, training or sales events.
Essential Functions :
- Resolves product problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explain the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, following up to ensure resolution.
- Handles difficult or emotional customer situations.
- Responsible for phone sales.
- Responds promptly to customer needs.
- Solicits customer feedback to improve service.
- Responds to requests for service and assistance.
- Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
- Listens and gets clarification.
- Participates in meetings.
- Responds well to questions.
- Demonstrates group presentation skills.
Position Specifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.Use of ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent required.Ability to graph technical concepts that require specialized knowledge regarding parts and their use as well as services and policies and be able to apply this knowledge to serving our customers.Strong interpersonal skills, customer service, and organizational skills.Moderate PC skills including Microsoft Office.Educational / Experience Requirements :
Three to Nine years of Order Entry, Customer Service or Sales experience.Relevant product or weapons industry experience requiredPhysical and Mental Demands (travel, lifting restrictions, etc.) :
Travel as assigned to support major tradeshows, sales events, and training. Travel estimated up to 20%Requires occasional lifting of common office implements and supplies up to 20 lbs.Requires sitting for extended periods interfacing with a computer. Will commonly walk, climb stairs, and requires the ability to drive. Events will require standing for extended periods to support sales efforts.Requires being able to read complex information from ERP systems, reports, and computer text.Requires being able to listen and communicate verbal information in meetings, in electronic communications, and across the telephone.Majority of time will be indoors in an office environment. Occasional outdoor duties at tradeshows and sales events.
