Compliance Specialist - NYC Fair Workweek
The Compliance Specialist - NYC Fair Workweek provides field support to the restaurant operations by ensuring compliance with Fair Workweek regulations and other employment-related topics in select restaurants. This role supports hiring, onboarding, scheduling, payroll, progressive discipline, separation, and other compliance-related tasks.
Your Impact and Responsibilities :
- Monitor and report on compliance metrics, including daily task completion, breaks, premium data, and labor law postings
- Review restaurant schedule warnings and payroll tasks to assess restaurant compliance and identify outstanding issues
- Verify schedule publications have been published within company standards
- Manage permanent schedule availability changes and shift pick-up requests in scheduling software (Harri)
- Support restaurant hiring by guiding managers through the onboarding and scheduling process for new crewmembers in Harri
- Review, troubleshoot, and resolve timekeeping errors and crewmember protests before payroll closes
Travel Requirements :
Up to 25%, primarily traveling between restaurants within the assigned marketQualifications :
3+ years' experience in HR, legal, compliance, or related field in the retail, restaurant, or hospitality industryAbility to travel daily to restaurants during openings and weekly to other restaurantsAble to handle highly confidential information and maintain strict confidentialityDetail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changingSelf-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and WordPreferred Qualifications :
Experience using Harri, Workday, and applying Fair Workweek compliance requirementsBachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experienceStarting from $81,000 - $94,000 annually plus incentive
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a performance bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Pay is based on location, experience, and qualifications etc.
