Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU

Requirements :

Minimum 2 years total RN experience; at least 1 year in critical care

Active RN license (no pending licenses) or active Compact license

Certifications : ACLS, PALS, BLS

Must Haves : ICU experience

Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Procedures Performed on Unit :

Central line placements

Arterial line placements

Paracentesis

Thoracentesis

Intubations

Unit Specifics : Number of Beds : 6

Patient Ratios : Mainly 2 : 1, some 1 : 1 and 3 : 1

Staffing : 1 Nurse Tech

Equipment : Arctic Sun, Continuous EEG

Documentation System : Meditech

Scheduling : 36 hours per week, every other weekend

Floating : Floats to ICU overflow unit

Patient Experience : Maintain positive patient experience standards

Dress Code :

Galaxy Blue or Pewter scrubs
