This position also may be required to assist other operators as a helper on key work or machine as required. 2nd shift - Monday through Friday 2 : 30p to 11 : 00p with Saturday overtime 10a to 3p ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions : Perform setups and operations on Amada EMLK Operator (Punch / Laser Combo)Check material thickness for accuracy and load material into EMLK stockerForm treads coming off of the EMLK that require it using Ermak Press BrakePerform assigned work to time standards and quality expectationsMay train others on set-up and operation of EMLKIdentify and solve machine alignment and cut condition problemsTroubleshoot Minor program errors independentlyBe willing to cross train across multiple laser platforms and cellsAccount for time and work completed via online computer data collection systemWork under limited oversightSafely operate a forklift or overhead crane to handle materials and completed work.Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance.Report and document basic material, production and quality control issues.Maintain performance log books on assigned area equipment, report deficiencies to the maintenance team.Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level.Other duties as assigned. QualificationsQualifications : Should have strong Laser, Turret Punch or CNC machine operating backgroundCompetent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools.Demonstrated competency in basic shop math.Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.Previous experience with overhead crane use is desired.Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.Good verbal and written communication skills.Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge.Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement.Ability to work well in a fast paced environment to meet team expectations.Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed.Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.Safety conscious behavior.Excellent attendancePreferred QualificationsPrevious experience working within a highly technical environment.
