Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Lead ET is responsible for leading and supporting all on-shift ETs, crews, and support personnel to resolve maintenance issues that affect plant performance. This position leads, trains, schedules, and stages materials / parts and equipment for ETs to perform maintenance tasks. Provides daily direction and coaching to ETs regarding problem solving, troubleshooting, PMs and project work assignments, and serves as the SPA for housekeeping, safety, quality, and performance by the ET group. Documents and provides project listings, develops priorities, manages deadlines and schedules, and assists ETs with issues or concerns. Provides updates on action plans, projects, and problem solving A3s. Responds to onsite equipment problems in a timely manner, troubleshoots and performs basic and advanced maintenance to production equipment, completes root cause investigations for complaints, interprets statistical data, and leads the repair efforts of the ET group. Compiles and analyzes data to assist in determining appropriate countermeasures and solving problems to the root cause, and assists team members in the development of standardized work. Works within the stated principles of ABS and supports maintenance toward continuous improvement through TPM.

Other responsibilities include wearing appropriate safety gear, attending work regularly and reliably, working flexible shifts and overtime as scheduled, conformance to company policies and standards, building and repairing electrical / electronic components in production machinery, understanding electrical components, proposing minor circuit changes, operating shop tools for fabricating non-procurable items, writing manuals and procedures, assisting engineers, acting as backup company electrician when needed, maintaining attention to detail, teamwork, safety compliance, professionalism, and participating in related training.
Supervisory responsibilities : None
Work Shift : 12-hour shift, with occasional overtime. PPE : ANSI Z41 approved safety shoes, hearing and eye protection as appropriate, gloves, protective clothing, and other PPE as required. Tools and Equipment : Various hand, power and pneumatic tools, measurement and calibration devices, and related equipment.
Educational and Other Skill Requirements
Must have a high school diploma or GED. Strong arithmetic and reading skills. Five to seven years in a maintenance role, preferably with experience in electrical maintenance. Formal training in electricity is mandatory (minimum two-year degree from an accredited technical training institute, an apprenticeship program, or demonstrated work in a strong mechanical role).
