Unit Overview : Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit where you'll care for a diverse and complex patient population. This includes :
Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resectionsCervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeriesHemorrhagic and ischemic stroke patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke ProgramHigh volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, along with medical overflow casesExperience the latest neurosurgical techniques and cutting-edge care as part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) .

Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).Education Required :
Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.Experience Required :

Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach, and twist throughout the workday.Lift up to 50 lbs., lift up to 20 lbs. overhead, and carry up to 40 lbs. reasonably.Push / pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform sliding transfers of 150 lbs. with assistance.Use of foot pedals on carts or machines required.Exposure to chemical and hazardous waste, blood, body fluids, and communicable diseases.Ability to speak, see, hear, and engage in fine motor skills for procedures.Operate necessary equipment for job functions.This job description provides a general nature and level of work expected of the incumbent.
