Commercial Low Voltage Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Security Technician with 2+ years of experience in commercial security products, including intrusion systems, access control, CCTV, and IP-based video systems—or equivalent work-related experience in the voice / data / service or security industries. Additional experience with inspections, troubleshooting, testing, programming, and repairing integrated security and fire alarm systems is a plus. This position requires an advanced understanding of networks and IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

• Install security, access control, and CCTV systems in accordance with company and code standards.
• Verify system performance, maintain accurate records, and build customer rapport by resolving concerns and answering questions.
• Plan security system installations by surveying locations, identifying requirements, and laying out equipment and wiring plans.
• Test and verify system functionality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure proper operation.
• Document fire inspections, installations, and service activities.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment by following best practices and keeping security information confidential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00 / hr.
