Description :

Great opportunity for a physical therapist to join a leading practice.

The physical therapist implements patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength.

Hold a license as a Physical Therapist in the state where you intend to work.

Maintain and update physical therapy skills and certifications as necessary.

Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation.

Utilize Electronic Medical Records to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries for patient files.

Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up.

Supervise physical therapy assistants and aides regarding all aspects of patient care.

Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.

Correspond with coworkers and other offices via phone, fax, and email.

Be responsible for accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up regarding prescriptions, test results, and authorizations.

Ensure patients are comfortable and answer questions when necessary.

Work closely with front office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow-up.

Possess computer skills necessary to complete job requirements, including typing, word processing, internet use, and Electronic Medical Records.

Make independent decisions regarding patient care.

Participate in the business marketing and referral process when necessary.

Follow HIPAA policies and procedures.

Be familiar with billing policies and procedures regarding different insurance types.

Be proficient in diagnosis and ICD-10 coding for billing of services.

Be physically mobile, including a combination of sitting, walking, and prolonged standing for 8-10 hour workdays.

Supervise physical therapy assistants and aides in all aspects of patient care.

Report any concerns regarding privacy policies and practices in accordance with company policies.

Comply with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.

The physical demands of this position include walking, sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving continuously during working hours.

Travel is not expected for this position.

Continuing education courses are preferred.

Must hold an active license or plan to test in the near future to become licensed as a Physical Therapist.
