Responsibilities

This small business role will cover the west region and will be based in our Scottsdale, AZ office.  You'll evaluate (selection and pricing) and maintain (control) risk acceptability and profitability within the company’s underwriting guidelines and procedures for commercial risks with a focus on non-admitted General Liability and Excess limits for contractors, owners interest and products / manufacturing liability risks. You'll also manage and maintain positive wholesale broker relationships, plus meet and maintain the production, profitability, and service standards established for the company.  The role will also assist in building appetite and risk selection guidelines for new classes of business to be added according to market place changes and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Four (4) year College Degree, or commensurate experience and training
• Industry designations preferred : AINS, CRIS, ASLI, CPCU
• 3-5 years’ commercial lines underwriting experience
• Knowledge of writing small business accounts
