DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Information Technology (IT) Generalist 2, you will be considered an agency IT Specialist. You will configure, install, and provide support for the PGC's Utility Mobile Access Platform (Rocket) in support of the agency's Law Enforcement Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. You can expect to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity and communication issues in addition to troubleshooting connectivity to in-house Dashboard systems. You will have the opportunity to provide remote technical guidance to Game Wardens to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve Wireless Access Point / router network performance problems. This position monitors, reports, corrects and initiates follow-up on all end-user data telecommunication problems reported on the PGC Help Desk.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Telework : You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. Telework is not permitted during the initial six-month probationary period; eligibility may be granted upon its successful completion. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Dallas. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
