In this role, you'll work closely with Senior Mechanics to inspect, maintain, and repair components both in our shop and occasionally on-site at marine vessels or customer locations. What You'll Do
Core Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls of mechanical components.
- Support on-site service work as needed (marine vessels, customer facilities).
- Contribute to general shop operations : machining, assembly, inventory, receiving, and more.
Technical Duties
Follow technical manuals and service procedures.Maintain accurate daily service reports and document inspections and test results.Safety First
Follow all company safety protocols and wear required PPE.Immediately report any incidents, injuries, or safety hazards.Complete all mandatory annual safety training.Admin & Reporting
Submit accurate timecards, expenses, and job-related reports.Maintain personal tool inventory and company-issued equipment.Keep certifications up to date in line with service progression.Customer-Focused Mindset
Deliver high-quality workmanship that reflects pride and professionalism.Represent the company positively and communicate clearly with customers.Resolve questions or concerns in a timely, respectful manner.Performance & Conduct
Complete assignments on time and to standard.Follow company dress code and uphold a professional demeanor at all times.What We're Looking For
Required :
High School Diploma or GEDOne or more of the following :Associate degree in a technical discipline3+ years of military experience with relevant mechanical systems3+ years of industry experience in related mechanical fieldsPreferred :
Working knowledge of diesel enginesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and written / verbal communication in EnglishAbility to manage time under pressure and work both independently and as part of a teamSecurity Clearance Requirement :
This position requires access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (U-NNPI) and is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) . Proof of U.S. Citizenship (no dual citizenship) is required.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
Hands-on work with large rotating equipment in industrial environments (marine, gas compression, nuclear).Must be able to lift 35 lbs. regularly and perform physical activities including standing, climbing, kneeling, and crawling.Requires vision acuity including close, distance, color, and depth perception.Why Join Us?
