As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Control in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong and visible presence. You will be responsible for controlling access points, conducting routine patrols, and providing exceptional customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.

Control access to the premises by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help deter unauthorized individuals in a logistics and distribution environment.

Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and surrounding perimeter to help deter potential security-related incidents.

Monitor surveillance systems and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and access control logs as required by the site.

Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal management to address security-related needs and provide support as needed in the logistics and distribution location.

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA.

Possess a valid Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
