General Function

The national director of sales for Axis Instruments will lead sales in Canada for independent and major accounts. He will be responsible for the strategy and execution of sales, the management of the sales team and the alignment with business objectives. Working closely with marketing, account management, HR and external partners, he will also ensure budgeting, forecasting and performance tracking.

Main Functions and Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
• Identify and capitalize on sales growth opportunities, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
• Supervise the execution of sales initiatives by the sales team, ensuring that performance objectives are met.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to adjust strategies and improve performance.
• Lead, manage and mentor a team of sales representatives across Canada.
• Establish clear performance expectations and provide guidance to ensure the team meets individual and group objectives.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, ensuring continuous talent development and engagement.
• Collaborate with marketing, HR and account management to align sales with business objectives.
• Strengthen customer relationships by addressing their needs and optimizing solutions.
• Manage the sales budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
• Track, analyze and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
• Prepare accurate sales forecasts and ensure the team meets its financial and operational goals.
• Maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive long-term partnerships.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and providing high-quality service.

Basic Qualifications

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and / or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
