Substitute Teacher – Dallas, TX & Surrounding Communities

Teachers Now is seeking dependable and motivated Substitute Teachers to support schools across Dallas, TX and nearby communities. In this role, you will substitute for regular educators when they are away, ensuring students remain engaged, lessons stay on track, and classrooms maintain a positive, structured learning environment.

Compensation

$90–$120 per day

(Determined by education level and / or valid Texas certification)

Substitute Responsibilities

Deliver classroom instruction by following lesson plans provided by the teacher you are substituting for

Maintain a safe, respectful, and well-managed learning environment as a substitute teacher

Promote student engagement and address behavior in a constructive manner

Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, and during transitions while substituting

Assign, collect, and review work aligned with learning objectives

Keep accurate attendance records and report concerns to school staff while substituting

Collaborate with educators and administrators to support academic and behavioral goals

For long-term assignments, develop and deliver lesson plans that meet curriculum standards as the substitute

Schedule

Monday–Friday availability required

Full Day : 7 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Half Day : 7 : 00 AM – 12 : 00 PM or 12 : 00 PM – 5 : 00 PM

Qualifications

Associate degree or at least 60 college credit hours (required)

Bachelor’s degree or Texas Certificate (preferred)

Minimum of 1 year of classroom or childcare experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality
