Personal Lines Department & Account Manager
The Personal Lines Department & Account Manager at Inspro will build and support the customer service agents who manage, serve and advise clients regarding personal insurance. In addition, they will support producers and be viewed as a leader and resource by colleagues and peers who provides exceptional client service and serves as a mentor to others. This person should be knowledgeable of coverage, carrier guidelines and underwriting. You will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with clients and carrier representatives. They will exercise independent decisions relating to client analysis of coverage, recommending coverage needs and suggesting new lines of coverage for existing clients, as appropriate. They will also develop strong relationships with carriers and market accounts as requested.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Build and oversee the daily operations of the personal lines department
- Assist with selection of all new employees in the department
- Be responsible for the training of all new employees in the department
- Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships by phone, email and in person
- Continually seek cross sell opportunities
- Assist in designing and implementing marketing plan to grow the department
- Assist in client related issues
- Review production reports new business, lapses and accounts handled by CSA
- Responsible for the quality of work produced in the department
- Evaluate department employees' performance on an annual basis
- Proficient in the client management system, specifically to update policies that are written or renewed
- Maintain CE, attend classes, seminars, and carrier meetings to keep abreast of new products available
- Join in the process of contracting with more carriers
- Other responsibilities as assigned by owner
Qualifications :
Hold the insurance license required by your state and have a minimum of 5 years personal lines insurance account management experience as well as hold a Bachelor's Degree or comparable work experience.Strong client relationship skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients and market contacts, including excellent communication skills and service orientation, cooperative nature, and tactfulness to resolve client and company problemsAbility to utilize leadership skills by providing direction, constructive feedback, development, and training while additionally being able to motivate others to maximize productivity and team morale.Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft office applications, various insurance technology and proficiency in learning our agency management system.
