American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of interventional radiology experience and required MD RT-R ARRT, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a short term acute care hospital's cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology labDay shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM, 40 hours per weekOn-call required every other week : Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3 : 30 PM to 10 : 00 PM, and Saturdays from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PMHoliday coverage required every other holidayRequired to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuitySpecial procedures include interventional (catheter placements, embolizations, drain and peg placements), pain (epidural blocks, radiofrequency ablation), and vascular (angiograms, thrombectomies, fistulograms, IVC filters)Uses Siemens, GE, and Philips Azurion C-arm equipment and Cerner EMRDuties include performing a range of interventional, vascular, and pain management procedures in collaboration with a multidisciplinary teamScrubs are providedMagnet certified facilityTraining modules required pre-start and may be assigned during orientationReturn staff must not have worked at the facility within the past 12 monthsMaximum of 7 days RTO permitted over the 13-week contract; no time off allowed in the first two weeksLocal candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rateTeam support and orientation details provided upon hire\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years interventional radiology or cath lab experience requiredCurrent MD license and RT-R ARRT requiredBLS and ACLS certifications requiredExperience with angioplasty, embolization, IVC filter placement, liver biopsy, mesenteric angiogram, paracentesis, stent placement, thoracentesis, catheter / drain exchange, and central venous accessProficiency in accurate patient monitoring, EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, and use of PACSCerner EMR experience required or expectedComputed tomography, ultrasound, and IV start skills preferredFirst-time travelers will not be considered for this positionLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
