The Community Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the apartment community, ensuring exceptional resident experiences while maximizing occupancy, revenue, and operational efficiency. This role oversees all aspects of property operations, including leasing, marketing, resident relations, maintenance coordination, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities :
Resident Relations & Customer Service :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Foster a welcoming, safe, and inclusive community environment.
- Organize and oversee resident engagement events and community activities.
Leasing & Marketing :
Drive leasing initiatives to achieve occupancy and revenue targets.Oversee marketing efforts, including online listings, community events, and promotional campaigns.Conduct property tours, process rental applications, and manage lease agreements.Financial & Operational Management :
Prepare and manage the annual budget, monitor expenses, and report on financial performance.Oversee rent collection, delinquency management, and lease compliance.Ensure operational efficiency through monitoring vendor contracts, service agreements, and day-to-day property operations.Team Leadership & Staff Management :
Hire, train, and supervise leasing agents, maintenance staff, and other community personnel.Conduct performance reviews and implement staff development plans.Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer service excellence.Maintenance & Property Standards :
Coordinate maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely resolution of resident requests.Maintain high standards of cleanliness, curb appeal, and safety throughout the community.Ensure compliance with property regulations, safety standards, and legal requirements.Qualifications :
Proven experience as a Community Manager or similar role in property management, preferably in multifamily residential properties.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of property management software (e.g., Yardi, Entrata, or AppFolio).Budgeting, financial reporting, and analytical skills.Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or related field preferred.
