DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION :
The primary mission of Central Staffing Office (CSO) is to provide high quality safe and effective patient care by providing supplemental staffing resources to nursing units hospital-wide on an anticipated and unanticipated basis with the primary focus on patients and families.
Our vision is to provide Baystate Medical Center (BMC) with flexible staffing solutions in support of the organizations mission.
The Float Pool provides the opportunity for nurses to work throughout BMC in a variety of nursing units including surgical medical critical care inter-care and others.
CSO is an internal float pool aimed at promoting professional nursing while utilizing a nurses flexibility expertise and experience.
The CSO provides an ideal setting for nurses and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) who would like the opportunity to work in a variety of areas in which they possess the experience and skill competency.

SCHEDULE :
Per-Diem Tier II or Tier III
The CSO is designed for flexibility in scheduling and offers a variety of employment opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
Experience : Minimum 2 years acute care experience with the last 12 months working in area of specialty (i.e. neuro cardiovascular / telemetry trauma intermediate care med-surg ICU Etc.)
Willing to float to more than one area and be flexible.
Education : ASN required; BSN preferred.
