Shift : Full-Time, 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Salary : $40.00 - $43.00 per hour

Job Description :

Boca Circle Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Manager to join our team. As a Unit Manager, you will assist the Director of Nursing and Associate Director of Nursing in managing the daily operations of the Nursing Department to ensure high-quality care is provided to our residents. This leadership position offers the opportunity to have a direct impact on the success of our nursing team and the care we provide.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and evaluating the Nursing Department’s day-to-day functions, in accordance with regulations and guidelines.
• Supervise nursing personnel, ensuring adherence to their job descriptions and facility policies.
• Participate in facility surveys and inspections conducted by government agencies.
• Contribute to the development and update of resident care plans.
• Conduct annual evaluations for LPNs and CNAs, and implement progressive disciplinary actions when necessary, including verbal / written counseling and warnings.
• Participate in hiring, probation, and disciplinary decisions.
• Maintain communication with physicians, families, and Nursing Administration regarding resident concerns.
• Ensure adequate nursing staff coverage to maintain quality care during each shift.
• Make rounds to assess staff performance and adherence to nursing standards.
• Review complaints and grievances, reporting findings to the Director of Nursing Services.
• Greet and assist newly admitted residents, ensuring their smooth transition to the facility.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement audits.
• Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure proper administration.
• Provide direct nursing care as needed.
• Assist in the development of assessments for resident care needs.
• Ensure accurate charting and documentation by licensed nurses.
• Oversee emergency equipment checks and narcotic counts.
• Ensure rooms are ready for new admissions and that maintenance work orders are completed.
• Manage supplies and equipment to meet unit and resident needs.
