Job description

Job Title : Equipment & Tool Engineer

Location :  North Charleston, SC

Salary Range : $60 To $65 / HR

Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Equipment & Tool Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves developing and implementing advanced equipment and tooling solutions to enhance our production systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and a passion for driving technological improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications.
  • 3 or more years of experience in a production and / or manufacturing environment.
  • 3 or more years of experience using office computing systems.
  • Experience in Model Based Definition, CATIA, ENOVIA, and PDM.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and modify aerospace manufacturing equipment and tooling to meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Research, develop, evaluate, and integrate robotics, automation, and new technologies for equipment and tooling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and review bids and procurement specifications.
  • Estimate, plan, manage, and execute the acquisition and modification of equipment and tooling.
  • Develop and implement testing and acceptance to validate performance.
  • Create and maintain documentation for equipment and tooling, develop preventative maintenance plans, and train personnel as needed.
  • Investigate engineering changes and control equipment and tooling configuration.
  • Recommend equipment reliability improvements through reliability engineering tooling.
