Duration : 13+ weeks with possible extension

Pay Rate : $72$74 per hour

Job Description :

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a leading healthcare facility in Watertown, NY . This is a great opportunity for experienced nurses looking for a rewarding role in a fast-paced environment, with a competitive pay rate and potential for contract extension.

The PCU RN will provide care for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment but are not in critical condition. Ideal candidates are adaptable, quick-thinking, and have excellent clinical judgment.

Responsibilities :

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit

Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage IVs

Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement care plans

Assess and respond to changes in patient condition

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records

Educate patients and families regarding care plans, procedures, and medications

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards

Qualifications :

Active RN license in New York State Required

Minimum of 12 years of recent PCU, Step-down, or Telemetry experience Required

BLS and ACLS certifications Required (AHA preferred)

Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Shift Details :

Shift Type : Day Shift

Schedule : 3x12s or 4x10s (exact schedule to be confirmed)

Start Date : ASAP or upon credentialing

Contract Details :

Contract Length : 13 weeks with potential for extension

Pay Rate : $72 to $74 per hour (based on experience)

Weekly pay via direct deposit

Housing and travel stipends available for qualified travelers
