Labor & Delivery RN

Job Overview :

A top-tier medical facility in Houston, TX , is seeking a committed and experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join its womens services team for full-time night shifts . This mid-level role requires strong clinical expertise in labor and delivery care within an acute care environment. The position is ideal for a nurse who thrives in high-stakes, compassionate patient care and is fully dedicated to working night shifts.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide expert-level care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum phases.

Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications, and respond to emergencies as needed.

Collaborate with OB / GYNs, anesthesiologists, and support teams for safe, efficient care.

Deliver patient and family education regarding birth, recovery, and neonatal care.

Maintain timely, accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications :

Active Texas RN license or multi-state compact RN license, in good standing.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (no ADN or new grads accepted).

Minimum 3 years of acute care RN experience , with at least 23 years in Labor & Delivery .

Strong, up-to-date resume with clear job history and unit details.

Must be available to work night shifts exclusively no exceptions for day shift or transfers.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience in broader womens services (antepartum, postpartum, NICU support).

Transparent communication about unit and shift preferences.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
