Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Waterloo, Iowa (50703) – Iowa nursing jobs

Unit : Med / Surg Telemetry, Nursing Float-Resource Unit

Assignment Type : Travel RN contract

Start Date : November 12, 2025

End Date : February 11, 2026

Duration : 13-week travel nurse assignment

Shift : Nights, 3x12 hour shifts / week (36 hours / week)

Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Unit Ratios : 1 : 6

Bed Size : 130

EMR System : EPIC

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1880 - $2020

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 1 year recent experience as a Med / Surg Telemetry RN (2 years preferred)

Active Iowa Registered Nurse license

Required certifications : BLS, ACLS (AHA), NIHSS

Proficient in EKG / ECG interpretation, rhythm strips, and dysrhythmia analysis

Experience with IV drips : heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltiazem, digoxin

EPIC EMR experience required

Completion of Cardiac Dysrhythmias class and passing associated tests

Submission of updated resume, skills checklist (within 1 year), license verification, and references

Proof of taxable address per local traveler policy

Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in a Med / Surg Telemetry unit

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; administer interventions as needed

Administer and monitor IV drips according to physician orders

Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR system

Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations

Maintain compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations
