Summary
With the Head of Government Affairs & Public Policy, this position will help lead Daiichi Sankyo's engagement with the federal government to ensure patient access to our current portfolio and robust pipeline of medicines. This position will identify key issues in federal legislation and regulation that could impact the company and patients. Informed by collaboration across functions, lead efforts to develop strategies to mitigate risks and harms while also proactively pursuing opportunities to bring our medicines to the patients who need them.

Qualifications :

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university) : Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred, JD preferred.
Experience Qualifications : 10 or more years legislative, executive branch, government affairs, and / or pharmaceutical industry experience required, experience with the federal legislative process, including knowledge of committee procedures, protocols, and ethics rules and regulations required, demonstrated relationships in Congress and with key external stakeholders required, solid political judgment and strategic thinker with ability to identify potential risks and opportunities for DSI interests required, experience engaging with PhRMA and / or other life science trade organizations preferred, strong understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry and related political environment preferred.
Travel :
Ability to travel up to 20% travel for conferences and business meetings as necessary; candidate must be located in the Washington D.C. area.

Salary Range : $198,160.00 - $297,240.00
