Overview
Provides the administration of medicines based on current state regulations, under the direct supervision and direction of charging nurse.
Responsibilities
Clinical Practices
- Performs all assigned patient care responsibilities and tasks according to the standards of care at NLH and the Emergency Department and within the NH BON scope of practice established for LNA's.
Safe Environment
Monitors the ED environment to assure that it is safe and free from hazards.Recognizes safety issues and reports these issues immediately to the Registered Nurse to minimize risk of injury.Performs all assigned patient care responsibilities and tasks according to the standards of care at NLH and the Emergency Department.Promotes safety while ensuring patient rights.Cleaning and restocking of Emergency Department equipment and suppliesRoutine Tasks
Performs routine tasks as directed, which may include :

Graduate of state-approved Licensed Nursing Program and Medication Administration CourseMinimum 2 years as LNA, ED experience preferredRequired Licensure / Certifications
