Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP HANA Data Modeler for a contract consulting engagement. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP data models HANA Calculation Views and enterprise data architecture. This role involves reverse engineering existing HANA models to support reporting and analytics as well as migrating transformed data structures into a modern data lake environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze understand and reverse engineer SAP HANA database structures including tables column views and Calculation Views.
• Develop enhance and optimize SAP HANA data models to support analytical and reporting needs.
• Document source-to-target mappings semantic layers and data lineage.
• Collaborate with business SMEs SAP functional teams and architects to validate data requirements.
• Migrate SAP HANA models and datasets to a data lake (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) following best practices.
• Design and implement scalable data structures in the target data lake to support BI AI / ML and advanced analytics use cases.
• Troubleshoot data issues validate data quality and ensure strong governance across platforms.
• Provide knowledge transfer and technical guidance to internal teams as needed.
