Registered Nurse (PICU) - Syracuse, NY (#25235)

Location : Syracuse, New York

Employment Type : Full-time, Contract (13 weeks, with potential extension)

Hourly Rate : $68 / hr

Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse for a prestigious Acute Care / Academic Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. This role involves providing high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill pediatric patients in a fast-paced, Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center environment.

  • Qualifications :

  • Education : Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
  • Licensure : Active New York State RN license (required).
  • Experience :
  • Minimum 3 years of PICU experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center.

  • Certifications :
  • BLS & PALS (required).

  • ACLS (preferred).
  • Technical Skills :
  • EMR experience ( EPIC preferred ).

  • Soft Skills :
  • Strong clinical assessment & critical thinking abilities.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes with appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility protocols.
