Role Description

This role involves assisting in surgical procedures, conducting patient pre‑operative and post‑operative assessments, and managing patient care plans in collaboration with surgeons and other medical professionals. Additional responsibilities include first‑assist duties during cardiothoracic surgeries, interpreting diagnostic test results, and offering patient education regarding recovery and follow‑up care.

Qualifications

• Clinical expertise in cardiothoracic surgery, including proficiency with EVH, operative first‑assist experience and familiarity with advanced surgical techniques.
• Strong skills in patient assessment, diagnostics, and developing comprehensive care plans.
• Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic tests, such as imaging studies and laboratory results.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in high‑pressure clinical settings as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program and current PA certification / licenses.
• Relevant experience in cardiothoracic or surgical specialties is highly desirable.
